Spox says Gazprombank’s JV in Venezuela working as usual
MOSCOW, Jan 24 (PRIME) -- Petrozamora, joint venture between Gazprombank and Venezuela’s PDVSA, is working as usual despite a political crisis in the country, a spokesperson for the bank told PRIME on Thursday.
“The joint venture is working normally,” the official said.
Petrozamora, established in 2012, is raising the oil yield on the Bachaquero Tierra and Lagunillas Tierra deposits on the eastern shore of the Lake Maracaibo.
Gazprombank issued a statement, saying that its financial and economic risks from works in Venezuela are dismal. “Gazprombank is not carrying out investment projects in Venezuela. We see the financial and economic risks for the business of the bank arising from the last events in Venezuela as dismal.”
